Here’s a very special story. Some rescues are simple – a cat is taken into rescue, fixed up and adopted out. But some cats seem to miss their chances at every turn, and just when you think all is well, the world comes crashing down again.
From her rescuer : “This is Emily who is about 8 – 9 years old and is FIV positive. She was adopted by a sweet 85 year old lady who passed away yesterday. Emily is not overly friendly, but not feral by any means. She likes to be with one person (women only) and can be a little cranky. She was much loved by this woman, and in turn Emily loved her person.
This poor girl was found starving in the streets and so skinny about 3 years ago. We were not sure she would make it as she could hardly walk. But, she is a fighter. She is indoor only, has a regular vet and is up to date on her vaccines. She loves windows and will sit with you and watch television. She does want to be the ONLY animal in someone’s life.”
If you do not have other pets, please consider coming to meet Emily. She only had about a year with her last mom, but it was a golden year, and showed everyone that in the right situation, Emily is a love. Help us find her her last home – email Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info
